Hi there!
I’m Isabella Segarra , an environmental data scientist and MEDS student at UC Santa Barbara’s Bren School. My path started at UC Merced in the Central Valley, where environmental science led me into the field: fungal ecology, phenology, and my own grassland invasive species research. When my curiosity outpaced any single discipline, I turned to data as the throughline, a way to study the ecosystems I love. Outside of research, I’m logging miles toward my next marathon (2 full, 2 half), digging through used bookstores, and hunting for thrift finds.
